In 1991, André Chamaillard enrolled in a college program and obtained accreditation as a driving instructor.

Following a training program with the Technic Driving School in the Ottawa region, Mr. Chamaillard joined forces and became the founding owner of a driving school that officially opened its doors in the Hawkesbury region in the fall of 1992. From the very beginning, Mr. Chamaillard built a solid reputation in the industry as a reliable resource in the field.

After several successful years with this company, Mr. Chamaillard decided in 1997 to develop his new business further in the Eastern Ontario region and made the strategic decision to expand his operations by also becoming the owner of Data Driving School (Rockland region) and Loyale Driving School (Alfred region) in the summer and fall of 2000.

Signature-Loyale Driving School quickly became an integral part of the Eastern Ontario business network in the years that followed. Thanks to his dynamism and entrepreneurial spirit, his public relations skills and his determination, strong family values and a commitment to serving his community are at the heart of the business.

In September 2004, in preparation for a well-deserved retirement, Mr. Chamaillard decided to pass the torch of the family business to a new generation of dedicated entrepreneurs. His son and son-in-law formed a new partnership that gave rise to a new business, École de conduite CHAM Driving School. The family business expanded its operations once again and acquired École de conduite François Dubé (Casselman region) in the spring of 2005 and École de conduite Signature (Embrun region) in 2015.

In May 2022, the company was passed on to Mr. Ryan Larocque. Mr. Larocque has been a dedicated member of our team since 2014. He is a graduate of the University of Ottawa in accounting and is the cousin of our founder, Mr. André Chamaillard.

CHAM Driving School is entering a new era but maintains, at the heart of its mandate, a high level of professional ethics, a determination to succeed and an ongoing commitment to the community.

In its quest for excellence, current and future customers are assured that the mission of the CHAM Driving School remains to offer the best driving courses available on the market, while making our roads the safest for everyone!
